A novela gráfica “Um Outro Pastoreio“, ilustrada por Indio San e escrita por Rodrigo dMart, é livremente inspirada na lenda sul-brasileira do Negrinho do Pastoreio, mais conhecida pela versão do escritor João Simões Lopes Neto. Além de uma linguagem híbrida e uma narrativa não-linear, a graphic novel incorpora elementos da religiosidade afro-brasileira.

The graphic novel “Another Grazing“, illustrated by Indio San and written by Rodrigo dMart, is freely inspired by the south brazilian legend of “Negrinho do Pastoreio” (Little Black Pastor Field), better known by the version of regionalist writer João Simões Lopes Neto. In addition to hybrid techniques and an exciting non-linear narrative, the graphic novel incorporates myths of afro-brazilian religion.

Sinopse: “Um Outro Pastoreio” trata das jornadas de Iansã, a Deusa dos Ventos e das Tempestades, e de Simão, um velho peregrino. É um tempo desolador e uma horda de guerreiros invasores espalha terror e destruição. Assim, a deusa e o  ancião precisam agir para garantir o futuro do Mundo dos Homens e dos Orixás.  Para isso, Iansã e Simão recriam a lenda do Negrinho do Pastoreio, um escravo  que tinha o dom de encontrar coisas perdidas.

Synopsis: “Another Grazing” tells about two journeys. Iansã, the Goddess of the Winds and Storms, travels to the World of Men to rescue Ogun, the Lord of War and Technology. And Simon, an old pilgrim, is in search of his faith in the company of a boy. But this will not be an easy task. It is a dark and dismal time in which a horde of warriors spread terror and destruction. The future of World of Man and of the Orishas depends on the success of Simon and Iansã in their journeys. They need to recreate the legend of a slave who had the gift of finding lost things, the Little Black Pastor Field.

Projeto aprovado na Lei de Incentivo à Cultura (LIC-RS)

Em abril, o projeto da graphic novel ”Um Outro Pastoreio“, foi aprovado para captação de recursos pela Lei de Incentivo à Cultura (LIC-RS).

A proposta inclui a segunda edição do livro e exposição itinerante nas cidades de Canela, Pelotas e Porto Alegre, com realização de palestras sobre o processo de criação.

O livro será distribuído na rede de bibliotecas públicas do RS e pelas instituições parceiras: Instituto João Simões Lopes Neto, Fundação Cultural de Canela e Centro Cultural CEEE Erico Verissimo.
